This really is just an amazing song... very nicely done. It's one of those melodies that sounds sad and happy at the same time, which makes your description of it perfect. A soldier returning from a hard and depressing war or battle, knowing that he has loved ones to come home to to help drive those terrible memories away.
Really beautiful stuff here definetly going to have to check your other stuff out now lol. Please keep great stuff like this coming!

"Trees don't walk into the middle of the road!"
lol VERY funny topic XD one of the dumber conversations I've heard (especially since it was with yourself O.o)
As far as the voice acting goes you did just fine, the two voices may not be dramatically different but its enough to definetly work in a flash animation.
Hearing this is great, means your one step closer to releasing your animation series XD lookin forward to seeing it.

Yes, we DO comment because we like you XD (I mean... at least I do O.o)
And very much liked the extended version, the fade out made it seem even MORE game/anime beginnish (if I can use that made up word)
Again, loving your work, and have now really started loving your humor (that I've witnessed from both your comment here and your response from my last review)
Ttyl and thx for the extended!

*assumes serious anime pose*
But what is life if you can't smile or make others around you happy?

AHEM yeah, anyway, for being such a loyal fan I will tell you this little secret. I may JUST being making an animation ^.~ (it looks sucky but that might be because I'm the creator XD) but I might just send personal PM's to my fans who are interested in its developments =D
anyways, thanks for commenting matey! more stuff heading your way! ^~

I can see what you are getting at with this song, although I took it slightly differently, more as a beginning. Things start slow, low and quiet, but with a burst of sound it comes into being, with a happy fast-paced beat that kind of speaks like a beginning.
I was thinking it sounded so much like an intro to a video game, so for me that works quite well, signifying the beginning to the adventure (especially if it's an "adventure" thats gonna drain 100 hours of my life XD)
not sure if it was designed as a loop or if that's where you decided to leave it but I do believe it could become much greater if it was extended, instead of looping it adding an end, even if that end is just a fade out, would make it feel more epic.
Great song, LOVE your work man, looking forward to more, AND that anime series you keep hinting about =P
Author's Response:
Anime series where?! *waves concept art and story lines in front of your face' what could you possibly be talking about!? (hopefully you will enjoy it if and when it gets out there)
But yeah this song was intended to be a loop (why won't they ever loop properly? they do when I'm making them >_>) and seeing as you flattered me and all I made a longer version.. isn't that much better (might be worse). It is titled '"Revive" (Ex Ver)' If you want to go see what I've done for you =P
Feel special! it's nice to know that I have a fan, or... atleast someone whos happy with my works =o
Thanks for commenting yet AGAIN on my works. Keep an eye on my news for maybe a sneak peak of... things that doesnt exist *shifty eyes*

I generally review ambient music by comparing it to games and trying to think of a game song that is similar to what I'm listening to here... and with this song I got an odd reference.
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2
Almost immediately I'm thinking of the music in the first floor of the machine level. That's not a bad thing though. Oddly enough... that was the only level that I not only liked the music from, but the only level that I liked altogether XD
Kinda happy that the one song from that game you reminded me of is the ONE song I liked in that game lol.
Author's Response:
Thanks for the review. Never played Phantasy Star myself but I'm glad that I could remind you of a good gaming and music experience you had. I hope to keep reminding people of good experiences and making new ones. ^_^

I just started playing Age of Conan and I'm thinking this could fit so well with that type of game. That time period and theme could really use some good music like this.
Kind of like a song of victory or celebration in a more tribal theme. I really can't put a true theme down on this type of music which SUCKS for me because I love music like this ='(
Awesome work looking forward to hearing more, really liking your music.

I KNOW exactly how you feel Sargonnas. Even I don't really know what to call this, and I have so many strange musical tastes I don't know what to call, so it's always a hit and miss thing for me. I'm glad you liked the music found on m page and this one, thank you for the review!

This brought such good memories of my all time favorite final fantasy game rushing back to me so fast I almost got whiplash... Final Fantasy VIII was the best in my opinion because of it's much more serious and deep storyline. They forsake a lot of the lightheartedness that past and future Final Fantasy's had, and the music reflected that so much.
Nobuo Uematsu (im sure i spelled that wrong) was a masterful composer because of his ability to take an emotion, and those of characters, and translate it into an amazing work of musical art.
I LOVED this strings remake of Julia's theme (one of my favorites from the game) and could easily see this version being the one used instead of the piano. Both are so good it really is hard to choose any one over the other. Awesome work.
